We're honored to have been a little part of a big effort to do just that.
Count the Kicks was based on research in Norway that showed a 30% reduction in stillbirth. By measuring the frequency of their developing babies' movements, Norwegian mothers-to-be were able to more quickly and more clearly alert their doctors of potential problems. That program put numbers to those mothers' instincts and delivered impressive outcomes. The US organization, Healthy Birth Day wanted to replicate that success here in the states. Healthy Birth Day developed this Count the Kicks campaign with help from several vendor partners including Strategic Imaging.
In this video, Jodi Long from Count the Kicks explains just why the program has been so incredibly successful.
The Link Between Stillbirth and Maternal Mortality and Morbidity
For that to be the case, a few elements had to be executed very well:
-
Campaign information had to be attention-grabbing and compelling
-
Expecting mothers needed a simple and convenient way to count their babies' activity
-
Data needed to be presented clearly
-
Health professionals needed to support the efforts
Strategic Imaging brought together a couple crucial pieces of the strategy. First, SI found an affordable and easy-to-use bracelet on which mothers could count those kicks. SI has access to 1,000s of imprintable items, including wearables like the bracelet used for this campaign. Second, SI printed the vibrant and enticing art that Healthy Birth Day had developed for the campaign. This included full-color brochures, posters, banners and more helping moms and their health care professionals understand and participate in the program.

Not all of the projects Strategic Imaging gets to be part of are a matter of life and death. Sometimes it's as simple as a branded gift for your employees, a clean postcard campaign announcing your new office location, or a personalized letter to potential donors. We're proud to be part of your large multi-faceted campaigns or your simple print and specialty product orders.
